Xochimilco Restaurant

A long-standing Mexicantown anchor on Bagley Street, serving Tex-Mex classics, sizzling fajitas and late-night plates.

01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Xochimilco is one of the long-running anchors of Mexicantown in Southwest Detroit, right on Bagley Street. The menu is Tex-Mex comfort: tacos al pastor, sizzling fajitas, enchiladas and flaming cheese. Detroit Metro Times reported it seats around 250 across two levels and won its readers' poll for Best Mexican in Wayne County several times between 1988 and 1999. It stays open late, which makes it a go-to for big, late dinners.
