02 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Williamston Theatre was co-founded by Tony Caselli, John Lepard, Chris Purchis and Emily Sutton-Smith, and its production history starts with the 2006-2007 season. It's a fully professional regional theater working under an Actors' Equity Association contract, and it pays all its staff and artists. The focus is intimate storytelling, new plays and Michigan artists. The 20th season (2026-27) opens with Joe Bravaco's dark comedy The One Good Thing or “Are Ya Patrick Swayze?”, September 24 to October 25, 2026. It wraps up with the ice-fishing musical Guys on Ice, July 8 to August 15, 2027.
