Free Friday-night star shows under a modern dome in Wayne State's clock-towered Old Main building in Midtown.

Make time for these
Run by Wayne State's Department of Physics and Astronomy, the planetarium sits on the lower level of Old Main, the clock-tower building at Cass and Warren. Its Spitz SciDome IQ 2400 system projects shows about the planets, stars and galaxies, plus full-dome films. Public shows are free and first come, first served, with room for up to 60 people per show, so get there a little early. Space nerds should also keep an eye on the 'Under the Dome' lecture series.
