Warren resident Greg Trzaskoma started Warren Civic Theatre in summer 1990 as a children's theatre workshop in the gym of Ridgewood Recreation Center, with about a dozen kids. By 1994 it had about 60 members and staged its first Broadway-style musical in the auditorium of the Warren Community Center. Many productions use open casting, meaning everyone who auditions gets a role, and more than 5,000 people have taken part over the years. The 2026-27 season opened with Mary Poppins in August 2026, and How to Train Your Dragon Jr. follows December 4-6 with a cast of kids ages 7 to 18.
