Tequila Cowboy, a country-and-rock bar and grill from TC Restaurant Group (also in Nashville and Columbus), held the grand opening of its Lansing Mall location on December 3, 2015, together with a connected karaoke room, WannaB's Karaoke Bar. WannaB's promised an “immersive, interactive” karaoke show with pro sound, a raised stage and lighting, run by KJs who were also professional DJs and singers. It was a favorite for bachelorette and corporate parties, and City Pulse readers ranked Tequila Cowboy second for Best Karaoke in the 2018 Top of the Town poll. By December 2019 Tequila Cowboy was gone, and OverDrive with Hit and Run Karaoke had moved into the space.
