Make time for these
Upfront & Company was Marquette's best-known nightclub and restaurant, with an elevated stage surrounded by the bar; by 2003 it had presented live music in the Upper Peninsula for about 12 years. It booked rock, folk, blues, country and jazz, bringing national acts such as Vince Neil, Ratt, Leo Kottke, Seven Mary Three and the Gin Blossoms for weekend shows and local and regional bands (Gizzae, Bumpus, the Melismatics) during the week, and was a regular stop for touring musicians making the long trip north. The restaurant and bar closed in spring 2013 (some sources say 2012) with no official reason given, while the banquet facility stayed open for a time.
