The UA Movies at Oakland Mall opened on December 20, 1979, on 14 Mile Road as a joint venture between United Artists and Taubman Theaters. Taubman Theaters was part of the Taubman mall company. Its five auditoriums held 1,741 people. It closed on April 30, 2000.
