Transgender Michigan is a statewide advocacy, support and education organization for transgender and gender-nonconforming people, with chapters across the state. It runs a toll-free help line described as the first transgender help line in the US, and its co-founder created the International Transgender Day of Visibility. Annual events include Transgender Pride in the Park in Ferndale each August, a transgender health fair at Affirmations each October, and trans job fairs in spring and fall.
