Times Square has been anchoring Williamsburg Row on Livernois Avenue since 2010, right in the heart of the Avenue of Fashion. Owner Al Bartell has been in menswear for more than three decades; he started his first business in 1991 selling suits out of a van and now runs several shops on the same strip. Some pieces sell off the rack, but custom tailoring is the specialty, because, as Bartell puts it, men don't like seeing someone else wearing what they have on.
