03 / The story of this place
What’s it like to stay here?
A small ski hill opened here in 1955; Boyne bought it in the early 1960s and reopened it in 1963 with the world's first triple chairlifts. It went by Boyne Highlands until the December 2021 rebrand. You can stay in the ivy-covered, English-country-style Main Lodge, the family-friendly Heather Highlands Inn, a condo or a two- to five-bedroom home. Summer means four championship golf courses (Arthur Hills, Donald Ross Memorial, The Heather and The Moor), and the Main Lodge has pools and hot tubs.
