Make time for these
The District Detroit is the roughly 50-block area around Little Caesars Arena that Olympia Development, the Ilitch family's real estate arm, has been building out. It takes in Comerica Park, Ford Field, the Fox Theatre, the Masonic Temple and The Fillmore Detroit, so on game or show nights this is where downtown is busiest. In March 2023, City Council approved tax breaks for a $1.5 billion next phase meant to add housing, offices and retail. If you're in town for a game or a concert, odds are you'll end up here.
