Make time for these
The Dio was founded in 2011 by Steve DeBruyne and Matthew Tomich as Dionysus Theatre, named for the Greek god credited with inventing theatre. Its first production, in 2012, was staged at Hartland High School. In 2013 the company moved into its current home, a 19th-century building on East Main Street that began as a town hall hosting vaudeville and opera and was long the Pinckney General Store. Every show comes with a meal, and the 2026 season includes Big Fish and The Crucible.
