Make time for these
The Coloring Museum opened on September 1, 2023 on Grand River Avenue in Grandmont as a six-month pop-up meant to lead to a permanent home. Coloring on the walls was the whole point: local artists drew black-and-white murals and guests filled them in with washable markers and crayons. Founder Sherrie Savage drew a 2015 coloring book celebrating Black women's natural hair, and those characters covered the walls. The Grand River space closed on February 25, 2024, with plans to move somewhere bigger.
