01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Take Me Home opened in March 2026 inside the Cadillac Arts Centre in Detroit's Little Village. It's the shared space of ceramicist Jim Schatz of J Schatz Studio and wood artist Peter Souza Jr., and it feels more like a working studio than a white-box gallery. Expect luminous ceramic lamps, bird feeders, tableware, sculpture and one-off pieces in clay and wood, with shows that change through the year. Make an afternoon of it: In Thicket Books and bowerbird home share the building.
