Make time for these
The Strand was built in 1927 in the center of Paw Paw, on the site of the fire department's horse corral. It first hosted live touring acts and bought motion-picture equipment in 1930. It has kept going through economic downturns and changes in film technology, switching to Christie digital projection and Dolby sound in 2013. Since August 2023 it has been owned by Eric and Jessica Cook, who also run a sandwich shop and taphouse across the street. Shows run daily except Mondays; Practical Magic 2 plays October 1, and Runner runs October 2-8.
