Zana Smith opened Spectacles in Harmonie Park in 1984, and the tall, narrow shop on Grand River has been a go-to for Detroiters who want to stand out ever since. You'll find clothing, hats, jewelry, frames, books and music, often from lines that showed up here before anywhere else in town. The store has backed local talent from Kid Rock to Dwele to Derrick May and welcomed visiting legends like Run DMC.
