01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Solar Party Detroit is a women-owned Detroit L3C that has been renting solar-powered generators to small and large events since 2016. Its mobile units, called Off-Grid Outlets or O-GOs, can run DJ gear and other electronics with none of the noise or fumes of a gas generator. The point isn't only the power: the team uses each event to show guests and organizers what solar can do, so at an outdoor festival or block party the setup doubles as a conversation piece.
