01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Fred Simmons and Harry Clark opened this shop on Broadway in October 1925 with $5,000 each in borrowed money, and they made their name selling fine jewelry on credit at $1 down and $1 a week. A century later it's still in the family: George H. Simmons worked here for more than seven decades, and his son Michael runs it now. Come for engagement rings, wedding bands, loose diamonds and designer jewelry, or work with the team on a custom piece.
