Showcase Cinemas Sterling Heights opened on September 27, 1974, with five screens, designed by William Riseman Associates for National Amusements. By 1983 it had grown to 15 screens, with 1,600 seats. It closed on April 18, 2004. It was demolished in 2006. The MJR Marketplace Cinema, which opened nearby on Van Dyke in 2005, is described as its replacement.
