The Rust Belt Market has operated since 2011 in a former big-box store at Nine Mile and Woodward. It houses about 30 independent shops along with a bar and event space, and it stages a vintage fashion market twice a year. Pride Source has highlighted it for its many queer-owned stalls and queer-affirming goods, and it has hosted LGBTQ weddings during Ferndale Pride. The market itself isn't LGBTQ-owned, but it is a queer-affirming space.
