01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
The Riverwalk Garden Rooms are the calm stretch of the East Riverfront: a series of landscaped garden spaces running from GM Plaza at the Renaissance Center to Cullen Plaza. They're cared for by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, the nonprofit that runs the whole riverfront, and they're made for slowing down, with plantings, public art and spots to sit while boats glide past toward Windsor. Cullen Plaza at the east end adds the carousel, a café and Wheelhouse Detroit bike rentals.
