The Quality 16 opened on July 14, 1999, on Jackson Road on Ann Arbor's west side as Goodrich Quality Theaters' multiplex. It ran 16 screens. It closed along with all cinemas on March 16, 2020, at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. In April 2021 the closure was announced as permanent.
