Punch Bowl Social Detroit opened on December 10, 2014 as a bi-level, roughly 24,000-square-foot eatery and entertainment complex in The Z, Dan Gilbert's art-filled downtown parking garage. It paired a scratch kitchen and craft cocktails with eight bowling lanes, private karaoke rooms, a vintage arcade, billiards, ping-pong and shuffleboard, and it was 21+ after 10pm. It closed “temporarily” during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and never reopened.
