N'Namdi Center for Contemporary Art

Nonprofit contemporary art center in Midtown's Sugar Hill Arts District, with four galleries, performances and programs for local artists.

01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Longtime art dealer George N'Namdi, with more than 30 years running galleries, created this nonprofit to keep master artists' work in view and give local artists a home. The Forest Avenue building opened in October 2010 with an all-night party of gallery shows, music, spoken word and performance art that wrapped up with sunrise yoga. Today it has four exhibition spaces, indoor and outdoor performance areas and a gift and bookstore. Programs range from juried shows and lectures to family events and an artist residency.
