According to its own 2007 website, New Dodge Lounge had already been in business for more than 20 years by then; it billed itself as “Hamtramck's finest bar & grill,” with burgers, live rock bands Thursday to Saturday and a free shuttle bus to Ford Field on football days. It stayed a stop for local rock, punk and experimental bands and later hosted DJ, electronic and goth nights, including Movement-weekend parties. Its last listed event under the New Dodge name was on December 13, 2025, and the bar at 8850 Joseph Campau now operates as The Strays, a bar and listening room.
