MJR Universal Cinema is a 16-screen first-run multiplex on Dequindre Road in Warren. It opened on November 8, 1991 as a second-run Cinemark complex beside Universal Mall. After Cinemark closed it in November 2016, MJR bought and renovated it and reopened it on April 7, 2017. It has power recliners, VIP seats and a Studio Bar & Lounge. Every feature showtime offers closed captioning and descriptive audio unless noted.

Plan your visit
Tickets are $5 on Tuesdays, with surcharges for VIP seats and 3D. After 6 p.m., kids 6 and under can't attend PG-13 features (family films excepted), and never R-rated ones. Questions go to (586) 620-0200.

Age policy
Children under 2 free if held on a lap. Children 6 and under not admitted to PG-13 features after 6 p.m. (family-film exceptions) and never to R-rated features; under-17s need a parent or guardian aged 21+ for R-rated features.
