MJR Marketplace Cinema is a 20-screen first-run multiplex on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights. It opened on November 18, 2005, replacing the old Showcase Cinemas 15, in an 82,500-square-foot building with a mezzanine balcony overlooking the lobby. It has a Laser Ultra premium auditorium, and in November 2024 it added a ScreenX room where the picture wraps 270 degrees around you. VIP seats, a Studio Bar & Lounge and luxury recliners round it out. Every feature showtime offers closed captioning and descriptive audio unless noted.

Tickets are $5 on Tuesdays, with surcharges for VIP seats, Laser Ultra, ScreenX and 3D. After 6 p.m., kids 6 and under can't attend PG-13 features (family films excepted), and never R-rated ones. Questions go to (586) 264-1514.

Age policy
Children under 2 free if held on a lap. Children 6 and under not admitted to PG-13 features after 6 p.m. (family-film exceptions) and never to R-rated features; under-17s need a parent or guardian aged 21+ for R-rated features.
