The Milford Independent Cinema, known as The MIC, is a single-screen nonprofit cinema on East Summit Street in Milford. The building opened as the Milford Cinema on June 21, 1972 with The Groundstar Conspiracy. In 2026 the nonprofit marked five years of running it, celebrating with a weekend of audience favorites on September 25–27, 2026. A closure announcement in January 2026 was reversed after a successful crowdfunding campaign. New releases share the screen with classic series, film-appreciation discussions, dinner-and-movie nights, trivia and craft nights: The Howling's 45th anniversary screening is October 19, 2026, and Silence of The Lambs' 35th is November 16, 2026.

New releases play Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 3 and 7 p.m., starting on time without a long block of trailers. Adults pay $9, seniors and kids $8 (special screenings may differ); questions go to (248) 529-6774.
