Mighty Uke Day was founded and is organized by Ben Hassenger, and 2026 was its 16th edition. The weekend mixes workshops, Friday and Saturday evening concerts at University United Methodist Church, late-night group strums, free 'MUD Light' activities and a Sunday acoustic afterglow concert at the MSU Community Music School; 2026 headliners were Daniel Ho, Viggy, Neal Chin and Amy Kucharik. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Music is the Foundation.
