Make time for these
Master Arts Theatre is a Christian community theatre whose name refers to Christ as “the Master,” and it picks family-friendly scripts to match. It produces a full main-stage season in its own theatre on 77th Street SW, plus youth shows, classes and touring productions. The 2026-27 season opens with The Time Machine on October 22-24, followed by It's A Wonderful Life from November 19 to December 12. Later come The Orphan Train, Father of the Bride, Little House on the Prairie, The Musical and Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced.

Grand Rapids' summer community theatre since 1953. It started in a hotel room, then played a park pavilion that housed the zoo's monkeys in winter. Today it's at Aquinas College's Performing Arts Center.
