Make time for these
Library Street Collective has been a downtown contemporary art gallery since 2012, run by partners Anthony and JJ Curis. Its mission is to plug Detroit into the international art world while raising money and attention for local nonprofits. The gallery is behind The Belt alley's public art and, on the East Side, turned a century-old Romanesque-style church into the Shepherd, a cultural arts center. Shows have featured artists from Tyree Guyton to Charles McGee.
