01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
La Michoacana has been making tortillas in Southwest Detroit since 1940, and the fourth generation of the family now runs it on Bagley Street. Every day they press flour tortillas, white and yellow corn tortillas, pre-cut tortillas and chips. The corn is stone-ground, fresh-cooked and non-GMO, with minimal preservatives. They sell wholesale to restaurants and retail to anyone who walks in, so if taco night is happening at home, this is where to grab your tortillas.
