Make time for these
JC Cinema opened on November 3, 1978 as the two-screen Towne Cinema. It grew to three screens in 1984 and eight in 1989, when it became the discount “Cheap Flicks.” It closed on August 31, 2014 because it couldn't convert to digital projection. Moore Theatres reopened it as JC Cinema on June 17, 2016, showing first-run films; it's one of five cinemas in this independent southwest Michigan chain. From September 26 to October 1, 2026, the lineup included Forgotten Island, Heart of the Beast, Primetime, Resident Evil and Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom.
