Make time for these
The Ionia Theatre opened around 1931 as a W.S. Butterfield house and closed in the late 1970s. It was rescued and restored in 1984, and today the City of Ionia owns and runs it. It shows first-run films on two screens and also hosts concerts, bluegrass shows and community events. In 2026 it's collecting memories for its 95th birthday, so if you've got an Ionia Theatre story, now's the time to share it.
