Huntington is a Columbus, Ohio-based bank with roots going back to 1866 and about 290 branches in Michigan. In Detroit its regional headquarters is the 20-story Huntington Bank Tower on Woodward Avenue, finished in 2022; the building was first planned for Chemical Bank before a string of mergers brought Huntington in. It absorbed Detroit-based TCF in 2021, and the city's convention center now carries its name as Huntington Place.
