Howdy Fest and its sister events are LGBTQIA2S+-focused cowboy parties billed as 'y'all-inclusive, y'alternative,' held at The Old Miami bar in the Cass Corridor. The June Howdy Fest brings queer country bands, line dancing, drag, burlesque and a mechanical bull, and its third edition took place in 2024. A Halloween edition, Howdy-ween, raises money for the Michigan Gay Rodeo Association. In 2026 Howdy Fest was held on June 20, and Howdy-ween is set for October 24.
