House of Morrison Shoe Repair
Livernois shoe repair shop since 1954, family-run: resoling, cleaning, dyeing and leather care done right.

01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Theodore C. Morrison opened this shop in 1954 as TeCaMo's Black Boot, and his daughter Ronda Morrison now runs it as one of Detroit's longest-running shoe repair businesses. They resole, clean and dye shoes, care for handbags and leather goods, and even restore leather furniture. The Detroit Fire Department brings its boots here, and City of Detroit employees get 10% off. Since 2020 the shop has hosted an annual Shoes for Tots giveaway.
