Since 2016, Fresh Coast has taken over downtown Marquette every October, just as the Upper Peninsula's fall color peaks. The films are documentaries about outdoor life, water and resilience across the Great Lakes and the Upper Midwest. The 2026 edition, its tenth anniversary, runs October 15-18 with 94 films in 10 venues, plus 17 guided outdoor tours for when you want to trade your seat for the trail. Screenings pop up in brewery rooms, the Peter White Public Library, the Delft Bistro's Marquee Room and other downtown spaces. It all kicks off October 15 with a free party at Lower Harbor Park: food trucks, bluegrass and screenings.
