This downtown church has stood since 1855 and remains home to an active, open congregation. Tours aren't run as a ticketed program; instead you arrange a visit through the operations manager, Alison Grosch. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

No reservation is needed at the GM Renaissance Center: a free, one-hour walk-in tour leaves from the Wintergarden Monday through Saturday at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m., taking in GM World and the OnStar Command Center, and finishing with a glass-elevator ride to the 72nd floor of the Marriott for the view; groups of 10 or more can arrange a private tour with Kim Rusinow.
