A small, family-friendly camping music festival in Free Soil on the edge of the Manistee National Forest, between Manistee and Ludington, on the last weekend of August.
01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
The Cameron family started Forest Trail Music Festival in 2020, and 2026 was its seventh edition. Over three days more than 20 Michigan and touring acts play Americana, jam, rock, folk and funk (2026: Manitou Trucking Co., The Rebel Eves, The Smokin' Dobroleles, Seth Bernard and others), with yoga, tie-dye and craft and food vendors. It draws about 500 people.
