Make time for these
Firebird Tavern opened on Monroe Street in August 2013, at the western edge of Greektown near the concert and sports venues. Owners Owen Burke and Tony Piraino had run the Pulse Lounge martini bar for eight years before that. Downstairs it's a full tavern menu and drinks for before and after games and shows; on Fridays and Saturdays the second floor turns into a nightspot with local DJs. A second Firebird Tavern opened in Troy in 2023.
