Emagine Palladium is a boutique cinema in the Palladium building on Hamilton Row in downtown Birmingham. It opened on November 16, 2001 as the 12-screen, 2,200-seat Palladium 12, run by Uptown Entertainment and designed by JPRA Architects. It closed on September 1, 2014, was rebuilt with fewer, roomier auditoriums and reopened as Emagine Palladium on October 2, 2015. Expect leather power recliners, a screening room of roughly 20 to 30 seats and a theatre bar. The programming mixes first-run films, anniversary revivals and Metropolitan Opera broadcasts.
