The Eastland Center cinema opened in 1969 with 1,200 seats, designed by Ted Rogvoy. Five more screens later opened inside the mall, and AMC ran the two as confusingly separate cinemas until 2000.

Make time for these
Suburban Detroit Theatres opened the 1,200-seat Eastland on September 17, 1969, with Patty Duke in Me, Natalie. Ted Rogvoy, the architect of the Mercury, designed it. It was twinned in 1975, with one auditorium equipped for 70mm. In 1985 the chain added five more screens inside Eastland Mall and sold both to AMC, which ran them as two confusingly separate cinemas. AMC closed both in 2000 in a sweep of older metro Detroit houses, and the building was demolished.

A 9-screen, 1,171-seat first-run cinema on 23 Mile Road in Macomb Township, built inside a former Kroger. Every seat is a reserved leather recliner, the biggest room is an EMX with Dolby Atmos, and there's a full bar in the lobby.
