The Municipal Parking Department enforces Detroit's parking rules and runs the city's on-street and garage parking. It manages more than 2,200 metered spaces, and you can pay through the Park Detroit app. Event planners should know about Group Parking Arrangements, which let you reserve spaces in a city garage ahead of time. One of the most central garages is the Ford Underground Garage beneath Jefferson Avenue near the riverfront.
