Make time for these
Michigan calls itself the Great Beer State, and the Michigan Brewers Guild's fall fest in Detroit makes a strong case. Since 2009, breweries from across the state have set up at Eastern Market every autumn; by 2022, 109 of them were pouring. Your ticket gets you a sample cup and the chance to work through hundreds of Michigan beers while local bands play and Detroit restaurants sell food. The setting fits: the Detroit area once had more than 40 breweries, and old malt silos still stand near the market. Proceeds support the Guild, the nonprofit trade group for Michigan brewers.
