For more than three decades the bar at 1501 Holden Street was the center of Detroit's leather culture, first as The Interchange in the 1970s and '80s and then as the Detroit Eagle. Its upstairs bar served as a clubroom for leather clubs such as Tribe, and the Roadmasters bike club displayed its colors there. The bar hosted club brunches, fundraisers and the Mr. Detroit Eagle title contest. It closed on July 10, 2010, and the Eagle name moved to the Menjo's complex; in fall 2015 the building reopened as the Marble Bar music venue.
