Michigan's original boat show: hundreds of boats, from pontoons to big cruisers, every February, now at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi.

The Michigan Boating Industries Association has owned and produced the Detroit Boat Show since 1958, and in 1972 it moved into Cobo Hall downtown, its home for more than half a century. In February 2026 the 68th show moved out to the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, now the Vibe Credit Union Showplace, because the auto show's later dates and Super Bowl Sunday left no good weekend at Huntington Place. It packed in more than 650 boats, from 10-footers to 45-foot cruisers, plus a kids' zone and a free boater safety course. MBIA is staying in Novi for 2027, with the show set for February 4-7, 2027.
