The Dearborn Drive-In opened on July 23, 1948, with Yvonne De Carlo in Frontier Gal. Komer and Goldberg ran it, with space for 1,040 cars and a miniature train ride for children. Wisper & Wetsman took it over in the 1960s and ran it until 1979. That's when Wayne Amusements added a second screen and pushed capacity above 1,200 cars. A tornado damaged it in July 1980. It closed on October 28, 1984, and was demolished two years later.
