Club Xhale opened on New Year's Day 2006 in a former straight club on Detroit's far east side, as a club for the Black gay community. Its weekly lineup included Fresh Air Fridays, Sexy Saturdays for women and live-entertainment Thursdays aimed at a more mature crowd. The only dated coverage is a Pride Source article from April 2006 about its opening. The club has since closed, and Yelp lists it as closed; when it shut is not known.
