Make time for these
Clarkston Village Players organized in March 1961 and staged its first play, Two Blind Mice, two months later at Clarkston High School. In 1962 the group bought the town's old railway depot from the Grand Trunk Railroad for $150; the station had served passengers until 1959 and replaced an earlier depot destroyed by fire in 1923. The first show in the Depot Theatre was the melodrama Dirty Work at the Crossroads in 1964, and its stage curtain came from the old Clarkston Opera House in the Maccabees Building. The 2026–27 season is the company's 65th, with a main season, a 'Second Season' of smaller events and a youth summer musical. Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) plays November 6–21, 2026, and Next to Normal runs January 8–23, 2027.
